School Meals

St. Michael's uses Hertfordshire Catering Limited (HCL) for providing school dinners. Hertforshire Catering Limited is an independent company catering for 415 primary schools (serving 36,000 meals every day) and 42 secondary contracts.

On a three week rolling programme children get the choice each day of a meat dish, vegetarian option or packed lunch. Alternatively parents can also provide a healthy packed lunch. Parents need to use their SchoolComms account to top up their lunch money and pre-order meals for their child by 8am at the latest on the day the meal is required. Any meals no longer required but not canceled before 8am will still be charged.

All of the menus adhere to strict food and nutritional standards laid down by the Government.
